Maluty Drops 'My Feelings' Mixtape | "I Wish Artists Could Be Given The Support And Appreciation..."

The mountain kingdom is a nation of physically powerful people, the kind that built big towers in Lesotho and South Africa, these are known as 'Mekoari' in The Mountain Kingdom. These people are mostly from the rural areas of Lesotho. However, in this generation most men are doing things differently, Maluty is one good example of MSU Hustlers.

"As a child I used to enjoy music a lot and I ended up... creating my own songs without even realizing I am beginning to have love for music." A young Hip-Hop artist from Thaba-Tseka said ~ Maluty. The rapper did discover the hip-hop sound through Radio Lesotho as it was the only station that reach the people in the rural areas of Lesotho by then. He started writing and dropped his first song in 2017.

Maluty says it was kind of difficult in the music industries back then, artists were not cooparative and radio personalities discouraged new talent. The artist said he does music for happiness, to record his generation's events and to be remebered while he's gone. The rapper speaks to his fans through music, which he describes as; people going through say heartbreak, persons keen to know about history etc. His music is more of a Sotho feel type of Hip-Hop.

"My feelings is all about feelings and that is why it is entitled 'My feelings episode'" said Maluty. The songwriter dropped a Hip-Hop Mixtape titled  'My Feelings Episode 1'. The project is about his feelings he says, from track 2 to track 8. The mixtape is where the artist let out his inner felt expressions as that is the only way for him to speakout and heal. Maluty talks loneliness, police brutality, goodlife wish, political empty promises and covid-19. The artist's aim with the tape is to create brand 'Maluty" awareness.

Now , we have seen you working with moedels lately, what's your plan?

"Haha true that, With me models create an appealing art to the market...". Maluty said. He said people will often see him working with fashion models to bring more value to his brand. On how covid-19 has affected most industries, this is what Maluty had to say...

"I feel like covid-19 destroyed so many careers including mine. I had better deals with big names in the country before covid-19, but this pandemic stroke them and things are very different now because they no longer have the same wishes as to before the pandemic, since they also have to deal with their own new problems. To cope with the covid-19 pandemic, I discovered digital platforms as the best way to trade and do promotions and I am all behind creating them with any possible means."

Maluty says there already is a follow up project he is to work on after 'My Feelings Episode 1', Reporting Live From Thaba-Tseka. On balance, this is what Maluty wishes cou;d happen in his country Lesotho,

"All I wish is to see artists being given the recognition they deserve, their art being respected and appreciated in our country. This can be done through various competitions with won prizes, and award giving ceremonies. Also artists being given legal protections over their music and enjoy their full rights can make me feel happy"
